As part of the East Aurora, New York community for over 200 years, the Blazing Star Masonic Lodge actively seeks ways to contribute to the success of our neighbors. Today in North America, the Masonic Fraternity continues this tradition by giving almost $1.5 million each day to causes that range from operating children’s hospitals, providing treatment for childhood language disorders, treating eye

diseases, funding medical research, contributing to local community service, and providing care to Masons and their families at Masonic Homes. The four million Masons worldwide continue to help men and women face the problems of the 21st century by building bridges of brotherhood and instilling in the hearts of men ideals for a better tomorrow.

Brother Russell G. Knox, Past Master of Blazing Star Lodge, passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 92. Initiated, Passed, and Raised in 1976, he spent nearly fifty years in the Craft, guiding and encouraging many young men on their Masonic journey. He will be greatly missed by the Brethren whose lives he touched.

It is my sad duty to report the passing of Brother Carlton Harry Baker. Brother Baker put down his heavy Earthy working tools of life after 66 years as a Mason.
