When these ladies finish watering rice and maize for the local landowner, they take their buckets to this old well, skimming trash and leaf debris off the surface so they can get "drinkable" water. Then they carry it, all 35+ excruciating pounds, home to their families.

Cows need clean water, too!

This lovely lady also raises livestock and sells milk to help provide for her family. But a cow needs at least 35 gallons of water to drink *every day*... and a milk cow needs even more! Imagine how many trips she was making on foot, collecting three gallons at a time, just to care for this single, precious cow.

Not only is this well blessing hundreds of people in this village, it is also providing vital clean water to nourish thier livestock, helping them build stronger, healthier businesses, homes, and families. 😍

No one really... *loves*... doing dishes, right?

But what if you had to wash them in swamp water? What would even be the point?

But clean water makes even doing dishes... better. Because instead of sloshing her dishes in a muddy slurry, she's giving her family better health. Instead of rinsing their bowls into washwater laced with invisible pathogens, her dishes are actually getting clean. 💦

For years, this village suffered without fresh water. On World Water Day 2026, we broke ground on their new well - and now hundreds of people have fresh, clean water whenever they need it! 💦

The drillers are working at night, because it’s too hot during the day.

Water was a constant worry in this colony. Sometimes the tanker came in the morning. Sometimes in the middle of the night. Sometimes it didn’t come at all. The women slept lightly, ready to run with their pots as soon as they heard the engine. If they missed it, there would be no water for their families that day.

But *today* is different.

Today, the drillers hit water, and these families are one step closer to getting their own well.

No more nights of wakeful sleep.
