The Eagle Valley Humane Society, EVHS, was established in 1974 to address the needs of homeless animals in Eagle County, Colorado.

EVHS is a 501c3 non-profit and all of our funding comes from personal and corporate donations, grants, and fundraisers.

These sweet girls are just 12 weeks old, spayed, and full of love! They’ve been bottle-fed since they were babies, which means they’ve grown up receiving lots of love and human attention. As a result, they are incredibly loving and sweet little girls who are ready to share that love with their forever families. 🥹❤️

Now all they need is a chance to find a family who will love them as much as they deserve!

Tiny tuxedo, big personality! 😻 Orbe is a 10 week old neutered male kitten who is full of energy, curiosity, and all the kitten mischief you could ask for.

This little guy loves to play, chase toys, and show off his favorite party trick: playing fetch! That’s right, this handsome little gentleman might just bring the toy back for another round. When he’s not busy entertaining himself and everyone around him, he’s busy being absolutely adorable in his tiny tuxedo.

🐾 Meet Rory & Bear! 🐾

Two sweet kitten boys. Two gentle personalities. Two little hearts looking for their forever homes. ❤️

🐱 Rory is a 5-month-old, 5-lb neutered male with the sweetest soul. He absolutely loves being held and cuddled and is happiest when he’s close to his people. He’s still getting comfortable and learning his new surroundings, but once he feels safe, his loving personality really shines. Rory is a gentle, sensitive boy who would love someone to show him that he’s home. 🥰

🐱 Bear is also 5 months old and weighs about 5 lbs. This handsome long-haired tabby is sweet, calm, and easygoing. He has a gentle nature and is looking for a loving family where he can continue to grow into the wonderful cat he’s meant to be. 🐻❤️

Both boys are young, adorable, and ready for someone to give them the love and security they deserve.

🐾 Meet Sandy & Layla — the sweetest mama-and-mini-me duo who aren’t actually related! ❤️🐱

Sometimes shelter friendships are unexpected — and sometimes they’re meant to be.

Sandy is a sweet, mellow 1½-year-old calico girl who came to us after being surrendered through no fault of her own. She has a calm, easygoing personality, knows her name, and is ready for a fresh start with someone who will love her as much as she deserves.
When Sandy first arrived, we realized she did not like other cats.

Then Layla arrived. 🥹

At just 4 months old, Layla looks like a tiny version of Sandy — but their resemblance isn’t the only special thing about them. The two have formed a genuine bond during their time at the Humane Society, and Layla is the one and only cat Sandy has ever truly clicked with.

Because of that special connection, we’ve decided these two should find their forever home together as a bonded pair. ❤️

Taco is a 5-year-old neutered male who has spent his entire life in a home. He knows what it’s like to have a human of his own — and right now, he is waiting for that feeling again.

Taco has been with us for quite a while, and the shelter environment simply isn’t where he shines. What he really wants is something much simpler: a loving human, a quiet home, and plenty of attention. He has so much love to give and is looking for someone who will see the wonderful cat he is and give him the unconditional love he deserves.

- Must be 21 years of age or older
- $100 adoption fee for adult cats
- $200 adoption fee for kittens
- If you rent, a letter from your landlord confirming that pets are allowed is required
- 22-year commitment — please understand that adopting is a long-term responsibility
- You must be fully committed to adopting and providing a loving, permanent home

Oh, my lovable cuteness!🐾

Our sweet tripod, Beethoven, is still waiting for his forever home! ❤️

Beethoven is a handsome 4–5-year-old neutered boy with the sweetest personality. He can be a little shy when you first meet him, but once he feels comfortable, his loving side comes out — and then he’s all about cuddles, scritches, treats and playtime! 🥰

He also enjoys the company of other friendly cats and would love to have a feline friend in his forever home if you already have one.

Beethoven may need a little time to trust you, but once he does, you’ll have a loving companion who will make you wonder how you ever lived without him. ❤️
