Northwoods USBC

The Northwoods USBC is the local governing body for American Tenpins bowling in Forest, Vilas, and eastern Oneida Counties in Northern Wisconsin.

For those that haven't been to a league meeting yet this year or haven't heard yet, the Northwoods USBC is updating its bylaws, which haven't been updated since they were created in 2015. Biggest updates are to some of the language to match what USBC has, and to change from majority vote at the annual meeting to plurality vote when it comes to election of board members. The proposed new bylaws — as well as the current ones — are on our website now at www.northwoodsusbc.org/info. Voting on these will take place at our annual meeting in April, we just wanted to give everyone time to review.

The Eagle Lanes' Sportman Men's League has announced its league meeting date for this coming bowling season. The league will meet on Thursday, August 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Eagle Lanes. Anyone wanting to bowl in this league should plan to attend, especially team captains. Here is a flier for the league. Check this out! One of our houses — The Alley Lanes & Tavern — is starting two new leagues this upcoming bowling season. A Rolling Relics League (every other Monday at noon), and a Youth League (Monday nights at 6 p.m.)! Go to their page to find out more information! It's always awesome to hear of new leagues forming!

🎳 Congratulations to Our 2025-26 Bowling Ball Winners! 🎳

The Northwoods USBC Association is pleased to announce the winners of our annual bowling ball drawing for the 2025-26 season!

We would also like to recognize Dave Saddenwasser for his generosity in donating his bowling ball back to our youth program. That ball was given away during the Northwoods USBC Youth Championship Tournament and was won by Hailey Crow of Eagle River.

Summer is here, but that doesn't mean bowling needs to stop. Tonight is the first Tuesday in the Summer Series Tournament at Nick's Hodag Lanes. Bowling starts at 7 p.m. and it's $30 to enter. New this year is that each lane has a different oil pattern. The left lane will have a long oil pattern on it and the right lane will be the short pattern. Tonight's patterns are the 2025 PBA Weber and the 2025 PBA Carter. This tournament is open to adults and youth. Good luck to all taking part!
