Reflecting on the past year, I acknowledge the community's support, which has played a vital role in making this year productive. The Santa Shop is again collecting gifts for children and adults. Our efforts last year enabled local families to have a special holiday. This year, the Showa Ambassadors will travel to Showa, Japan, Eagle Point's sister city, in June. City leaders from Showa will visit Eagle Point on July 4, 2026, to celebrate our 250th anniversary, and the Showa Ambassadors will visit Eagle Point in August. The Veterans Street Light Banner program has received positive feedback and continues to grow. The Avenue of Flags has expanded to 417 flags along the path to Eagle Point National Cemetery. We raised funds for a second trailer and are working on a special surprise for the community. We also support programs in Butte Falls, Shady Cove, and hopefully Prospect next year. The 9/11 Moving Tribute exceeded last year's event. I thank everyone who participated in the Veterans Day Celebration and Parade.
