I had the pleasure of meeting many Army, National Guard, and Texas State Guard soldiers at Forward Operations Base Eagle near Eagle Pass, Texas. Many agreed to these pictures, some declined, but they all stand for the common goal of protecting the United States of America.

Thanks to all the authors who personally donated books, and to the publishers, including Wolfpack Publishing, for their ongoing support of our troops. If a book offers even a moment of respite from the daily grind of a soldier’s life and helps improve morale, Books 4 the Brave will continue seeking opportunities to reach as many brave men and women serving our country as possible.

I’d like to thank Corporal Rymer for his communication and coordination and the leadership at Operation Lone Star for allowing Books 4 the Brave to visit personally with the troops. Most of all, thanks to all soldiers stationed in Eagle Pass and around the world for their commitment and service to the United States of America. 🇺🇸

-Whether for land, a chance for a new life, or for gold, California was the magnet that drew thousands of people during the 1840s, 50s, and into the 60s. The California Trail was the way many emigrants and Argonauts chose.
