It was a spooky night at the Old Meeting House on October 28th with our first Halloween movie screening of "Nosferatu," hosted by filmmaker and Duxbury resident Scott Tuft. Thank you to Kathi Lengel and Mary Spencer for the delicious cookies, and to Cabot Creamery for the cheese and gift card prize. Thank you to all who attended for your support of our building projects. Let's do it again.

The Duxbury Historical Society would like to thank our donors, shoppers, bakers, volunteers and supporters for making yesterday's lawn sale a rousing succcess. We could not do it without you!

We were too busy Saturday to take even a single photo but know we were bustling about, selling and showing off our beautiful Meeting Hall with joy!

📢 Donations Days are Approaching!

Your generous donations are what make the Duxbury Historical Society's "Let's Make a Deal" Lawn & Bake Sale a success! The sale is happening on the 12th, but here are some days to drop off your fabulous donations! :)

Drop off your gently used items at Sunshine Hall (459 Route 100 South, South Duxbury):

📅 Wednesday, September 9 | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

📅 Friday, September 11 | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

🚫 Items We CANNOT Accept

(Due to space, safety, and state regulations)

Large & Heavy Items: Heavy furniture, TVs, large appliances

Fabric & Bedding: Clothing, large bedding, mattresses

Specific Gear & Goods: Ski boots, used water bottles, books, elderly exercise equipment

Regulated Safety Items: Baby cribs, car seats, bicycle helmets

Whipping up something sweet for the sale? You can drop off your delicious baked goods during either donation window above, or early on the morning of the sale.

It's time! Check out our website for online ordering or stop by the Duxbury Town Office and pick up an order form!

Orders are due by Friday, May 8th.

Pick up will be May 20th and May 21st, Time to be Announced, at Sunshine Hall in South Duxbury.

All proceeds benefit the Duxbury Historical Society!
