Our purpose is to help people find salvation and newness of life through Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to help believers find the blessedness of Biblical Christianity and not the burdens of religion. Our purpose is to help believers experience a Grace filled life of freedom from religious condemnation. Our purpose is to help believers live a simplistic Christianity by being rooted and grounded in the Scriptures.

RELATIONSHIP – PRESENCE ABOVE PERFORMANCE

Grace Fellowship Weekly Food for Thought – 8-23-26

Jesus didn’t come to this earth in the form of flesh (1Tim 3:16) to establish a new religion with legalistic rules and religious expectations. He came to establish a New Covenant that is built upon better promises (Heb. 8:6). This New Covenant is the open door to restored union and oneness with God through Jesus Christ.

Through faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work of redemption and restoration of divine fellowship (Eph. 2:8-10), we can all have an intimate relationship with God, and we can each truly know God, His voice, His plan, His working in our lives, and His love, rest, and peace (Heb. 8:10-13).

It is through this beautiful relationship of union, forgiveness, and peace through Jesus that our eyes are opened to the deep understanding of the grace and freedom we have through our oneness with God (Jn. 17:21-23).

When the believer finds their oneness with God and that daily relationship that is void of religion, they will start seeing the signs, the fractures in a faulty religious system that places personal performance above presence. When we find our oneness with God, we will cease seeing sacred scripture as law and letter, but we will see them as Spirit and light.

Our relationship with God isn’t about sin management or always trying to be right with God. Our relationship of grace and freedom is about an awakening of who we are in Christ, we are forgiven of all our sins (Col. 2:13), and we are the righteousness of God in Christ (2Cor. 5:21).

When we place our faith in Jesus Christ and are changed, the door has been opened for everyone of us to enter that relationship with God that is upheld by three pillars, communication with God, acknowledging God, and reverencing God, the finished work of Jesus Christ is the foundation that these pillars rest upon.

1. Communication with God – (Prayer, Bible Study, Meditation, Quiet Moments, Worship.) 2Chr. 7:14; Psa. 1:2; Isa. 30:15; Matt. 6:6-8; Heb. 7:19; 10:22; Ja. 4:8;
1Jn. 1:3.
2. Acknowledging God – (Recognizing God’s Authority, Seeking God’s Opinion and including Him in all situations.) Prov. 3:5-6.
3. Reverencing God – (Respecting God, honoring God, giving ourselves to 1 & 2.) Job 28:28; Psa. 25:14; 89:7; Acts 10:35; Ph. 2:12; 1Pet. 2:17.

THE MESSAGE OF GRACE

(Grace & Freedom Series by Timothy Tynan)

I have been a Christian for 47 years of my 56-year life, I don’t believe there is any other religion on the face of the planet that is more divided and splintered than the religion of Christianity. No wonder we have thousands of Christian denominations and organizations with all kinds of differing views.

When I share my views, I am in no way claiming I have the absolute right ones and everyone else is wrong or misguided in some way just because they differ from others. My views are what I believe, and I have developed them through prayer, study, reading and meditation. If I am wrong, God is my judge, and I pray the Holy Spirit, not man, reveals to me the correct understanding.

The message of grace is an immense subject with multitudes of views. My thoughts on grace changed dramatically between 2012-2015, causing me to make major changes in how I live and practice my faith. The message of grace that I believe and share when asked is this, through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ I am forgiven, justified, regenerated, and indwelt by the Holy Spirit.

The message of grace is that there is NO condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus (Rom. 8:1). The message of grace is that ALL my sins, past, present, and future are forgiven in Christ (Col. 2:13). The message of grace teaches that we will sin after being saved (1Jn. 1:8-10), however, our only requirement is to confess our sin, this means to acknowledge or to come into agreement with.

The message of grace is that we are NOT under the laws of man, Moses, or antiquated traditions (Rom. 6:14-15). The message of grace reveals that believers are under only one law, and that is the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:2).

The message of grace declares our spirit having been made perfect/complete in Christ (Heb. 12:23). The message of grace declares the blessing of freedom in Christ (Gal. 5:1). As believers, we have one mediator between ourselves and God, Jesus Christ the righteous. Not a modern-day church, not a pastor, and not a church board (1Tim. 2:5).

The message of grace teaches us to renounce and reject ungodliness and worldly passions and appetites (Titus 2:11-12). The message of grace also teaches us in the same verse to live self-controlled, spiritually whole and upright, this is accomplished through our relationship with Jesus. The message of grace teaches us also to live a life that is a quiet and peaceful life filled with rest, minding our own affairs/business, and working with our hands and talents as unto the Lord (1Th. 4:11).

KNOWING JESUS OR KNOWING ABOUT JESUS

Grace Fellowship Weekly Food for Thought – 8-16-26

When it comes to the title of this devotion one thing is extremely true, this is a reality within the Christian community, there are multitudes that know about Jesus, but sadly don’t know Him on a personal level. This isn’t being judgmental, this is a scriptural reality.

“That I may know Him” – Paul (Phil. 3:10)

After 25 plus years of faith in Jesus Christ, the Apostle Paul was still proclaiming, “that I may know Him.” Paul declared that in the last days many would have a “form of godliness” (2Tim. 3:5). We need more than knowing about Jesus (form/religion), we need to know Jesus (relationship).

Millions of people attend church on Sunday morning, wear a cross necklace around their neck, have a fish or a cross sticker on their vehicle, attend bible studies, can quote some scriptures, and maybe read a daily devotional from time to time. These things are good, but they are not the determining factors of salvation or a relationship with Jesus,

I am a huge NASCAR fan, and my all-time favorite driver is Ricky Rudd, who retired in 2007. I was able to meet him in 1999 at the Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, Virgina, he was very kind and cordial. I know a lot of things about Ricky Rudd, his racing career and the cars he has driven, but I don’t know him personally. There is a difference.

Salvation is an immediate action that occurs through faith, relationship is a progression that grows with time. I have come to believe that there are three pillars to relationship, communication with Jesus, acknowledging Jesus, and Reverencing Jesus. These three realities are the result of a mind that has had the veil of religious separation removed and our oneness with Jesus revealed.

Salvation plants the seeds of Christlikeness in our lives, knowing Jesus through relationship waters and gives light to those seeds bringing fruitfulness and an awareness of the Kingdom within us consisting of right standing with God in life, peace in life, and joy in life (Rom. 14:17). This is what it means to have complete REST in Christ (Matt. 11:28-30). Knowing Jesus in relationship will cause us to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ (2Pet. 3:18).
