Teen Hangout Nights!
Announcement: We’re excited to share a new community initiative launching this December: FREE Saturday evening drop-in events designed to give middle and high school youth a safe, relaxed, and judgment-free space to simply BE.
What Teen Hangout Night Is:
Teen Hangout Night is a collaborative effort created by the Safe Spaces Action Team with Team Up and local youth-serving organizations. Our goal is to offer teens consistent, accessible weekend spaces where they can unwind, connect with friends, meet new people, and enjoy free snacks in a casual, low-pressure environment.
When & Where:
Beginning December 6th, 2025, Teen Hangout Nights will be held every Saturday evening, rotating among four community sites: Off The Bench, Cortez Recreation Center, Bitterblossom Games and the Cortez Public Library.

Why This Matters:
Local partners identified the need for unstructured, welcoming weekend spaces for youth. Teen Hangout Nights were created to meet that need by providing a consistent weekly option that is free, safe, and teen-centered.

Please share this information with your networks, youth, families, and any programs or groups who may benefit. Physical flyers are also available upon request.
