The Duarte Kiwanis Club serves the community at large and embodies the spirit of Kiwanis International by "Changing the World One Child and One Community at a Time" We meet on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesdays of the month at noon at Westminster Gardens

7 Duarte High Seniors have received scholarships from Duarte Kiwanis Club. President, Mercedes Ruiz joined board members Lois Gaston, Cesar Garcia and Kaye Biggs celebrated all seven recipients at the Senor Breakfast. Congratulations to all!

Alexandra Almaguer-Negret now leads the DART program for the City of Duarte. DART currently has over 160 members focusing on volunteer opportunities in the community. Alex has also coordinated two college trips this year to San Marcos and San Diego State. Participants are also learning skills for financial literacy as well as practical skills for resume building and interview skills. Duarte Kiwanis Club President supported the DART program with a donation from the club.

The Duarte Kiwanis Club attended this year's Senior Banquet for Opportunities for Learning. The club provided a scholarship to Ruth Minas Garcia who will be attending University of Puget Sound in Washington State.

The Duarte Kiwanis Club held their annual celebration of Seniors meeting in April. Key Club members from CS Arts and Duarte High School led the meeting. Mayor Tera Martin del Campo shared a program highlighting the year's accomplishments for the City of Duarte. The mayor is a graduate of Duarte High School herself illustrating for our graduates the opportunity to continue to serve your hometown.
