The Mission Continues

The Mission Continues We’ve joined forces with Travis Manion Foundation. Follow along there as we continue the mission—serving veterans through community and leadership.

The Mission Continues is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization empowers veterans who are adjusting to life at home to find purpose through community impact. We deploy veterans on new missions in their communities, so that their actions will inspire future generations to serve. Our operations in cities across the country deploy veteran volunteers alongside non-profit partners and community leaders to

solve some of the most challenging issues facing our communities: improving community education resources, eliminating food deserts, mentoring at-risk youth and more. Through this unique model, veterans build new skills and networks that help them successfully reintegrate to life after the military while making long-term, sustainable transformations in communities and inspiring future generations to serve.

Today marks one of the most significant days in American History. It's important to remember those who were tragically lost on this day 24 years ago. It's also important to remember how this nation rallied around one another. And this day produced more voluntary veterans than any other time period in our history, as thousands were inspired to serve in the military because of the actions of this day on Sept. 11, 2001.

Four years ago, in honor of the 20th anniversary of 9/11, we put together a series of 20 stories of how that day impacted members of the TMC network. Those stories can be seen here: https://www.missioncontinues.org/stories-of-enduring-service/

"Stories of Enduring Service" is a collection of curated stories of veterans and advocates from across the nation who were inspired to serve by the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. We recognize these veterans for their sacrifice and their enduring service. Their service is not over, as there

Some moments live with us forever. 🇺🇸

9/11 changed our nation in ways words can’t fully capture. We still carry the scars, but we also carry the strength that came when we stood side by side.

Healing doesn’t happen alone—it happens together.

By remembering, by honoring, and by supporting the families and heroes who still live with the weight of that day.

A fire only stays lit if we tend to it.

That means taking care of the people still hurting—

Our veterans.
Our families.
Our neighbors.

Because remembrance without action is just memory.
