Thank you to the youth of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church for helping us prepare breakfast at FOCUS Gateway City!💙🍳

Together, they cracked and prepared 24 dozen eggs for our Wednesday breakfast, helping us get ready to welcome our neighbors around the table.

We’re also grateful to our friends Jim and Steph, and everyone who helped organize and make this effort possible. Thank you for giving your time and energy to serve our community! ☦💙

The need at FOCUS Gateway City is growing.❤️

Recently, we welcomed a record 99 neighbors to Sunday Supper, serving more than 160 hot meals. In August alone, our pantry distributed 356 bags of groceries to neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

Sometimes, a bus ticket is more than a way to get from one place to another. It can be a way home. 🚌

Through the St. Elijah Bus Ticket Program, FOCUS Gateway City helps neighbors stranded in St. Louis safely return to family, work, treatment, or a place where they have support.

One mother reached out after finding herself trapped in an abusive situation with her two children. Her partner had taken the money she had saved to leave, and local shelters were full. FOCUS Gateway City helped her and her children get safely to family in another state.

As more neighbors turn to FOCUS Gateway City for help, the need for this high-impact program is growing, too.

Last week's Sunday Supper at FOCUS Gateway City was record-breaking, with 99 people joining us—the largest turnout we’ve ever had! Together, we served 162 meals to our guests. 🍽🙌🏻

We’re grateful to be able to serve more of our neighbors, but this record turnout also reminds us that the need is growing.

In the first half of 2026, FOCUS Gateway City’s impact grew by an incredible 344% compared to the same period last year.

We’re grateful for every neighbor welcomed, every meal shared, and every relationship built. But greater impact means a greater need for support. 🙏
