Happy Father’s Day to the men who lead with love, protect with strength, and guide with purpose.

Today we honor the fathers, father figures, mentors, and guardians who show up—even when it’s hard—and continue to pour into the next generation. Your presence is a form of light that never goes unnoticed.

To the dads who are no longer physically here, your legacy still speaks. Your love still guides. Your light is still carried forward in us.

From all of us at Carry Their Light Project — we celebrate you, we thank you, and we honor you today and every day.

Happy Father’s Day. Your light lives on.

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth—a day that honors freedom, resilience, and the enduring strength of those who came before us.

On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, finally learned they were free. Juneteenth stands as a reminder that freedom, justice, and equality must be protected and pursued for every generation.

At The Carry Their Light Project, we believe that remembering our history helps us build a brighter future. By educating, empowering, and uplifting our communities, we continue the work of creating hope and opportunity for the next generation.

Today, we honor the past, celebrate progress, and recommit ourselves to a future where every light has the chance to shine.

🖤❤️💚 Happy Juneteenth!

Today was a powerful and unforgettable day.

I was honored to stand alongside Governor Matt Meyer as he issued a Proclamation recognizing June as Gun Violence Awareness Month, bringing awareness to the lives impacted by violence and the importance of prevention, healing, and community action.

This moment was made even more meaningful as Governor Meyer also signed my pardon, marking the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another. It is a reminder that people can grow, change, and become leaders in their communities when given the opportunity.

As Founder of The Carry Their Light Project, I remain committed to honoring those we’ve lost, supporting those affected by violence, and creating pathways for our youth to thrive.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey. We don’t just remember them—we carry their light. 💙🕯️

The Carry Their Light Project and Our R.O.O.T.S. Foundation was honored to receive a Proclamation from the City of Dover recognizing June as Gun Violence Awareness Month.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mayor Robin R. Christiansen and the City of Dover for standing with survivors, families, and advocates in the fight against gun violence. This proclamation is more than a document—it is a commitment to raising awareness, honoring lives lost, supporting those impacted, and working together to create safer communities.

At The Carry Their Light Project, we carry the memories of those we have lost and continue to shine a light on the urgent need for prevention, healing, education, and community action.

Together, we remember. Together, we heal. Together, we carry their light. 💙🕯️

Today, on Mother’s Day, we honor and uplift the mothers carrying a pain no parent should ever have to endure — the loss of a child to gun violence.

Your children mattered. Their names matter. Their light still shines through every memory, every smile shared, and every life they touched. 💜🕊️

To every grieving mother: we see your strength, your love, and your resilience. You are not alone. The Carry Their Light Project stands with you today and every day as we continue to raise awareness, support healing, and fight to end community violence.

We carry their light forever. ✨
