Introducing Commissioner, Dr. Anthony J. DePrima

Dr. Anthony J. DePrima is a distinguished public sector executive and energy policy leader with more than forty years of experience in municipal management, strategic planning, and sustainable energy development. His career reflects a longstanding commitment to advancing effective governance and innovative solutions that strengthen communities.

Most recently, Dr. DePrima served as Executive Director of the Delaware Sustainable Energy Utility, where he led statewide initiatives promoting energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and transportation electrification. He previously served as City Manager of Dover, overseeing municipal operations, public services, economic development initiatives, and utility systems while managing a budget exceeding $165 million.

Dr. DePrima holds a Ph.D. in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware. His extensive leadership experience in both municipal government and energy policy provides valuable insight into the regulatory, operational, and consumer considerations that shape Delaware's utility landscape.
