4H Watches this Monday 5/18/26. Luke Meadows and Emily Brown will receive their watches from the Dothan Rotary Club just like David Pitchford and Amanda Appling did in 1987. The watch awards are presented annually to local outstanding 4-H members of the year. Whitney Galloway of the Auburn Houston County Extension Office will be introducing each with their family in attendance.
Following the watch presentation, new head coach Rick Davey will give the program on Dothan United Soccer Club.

12 scholarship recipients were honored today with their families at the Dothan Rotary Club meeting. $18,000 total distributed to Dothan High School students.

The Dorothy Hardwick Scholarship. Emma Sanders, Ramsey Farris, Madelyn Cheatwood, Sadie Slingluff, Kate Pologruto, Kaitlin Simmons, Narico Springfield, Kennedy Crews, Daniel Johnson, Cameron Eckols, Kah'Sashion Bolden, Aaron Walker.

William Guy Hardwick, the husband of Dorthy Hardwick set up the trust that funded these final scholarships. He was a member of the Dothan Rotary Club and served as The State of Alabama Lieutenant Governor in 1954 and served in the House of Representatives (1938-1942) and State Senate 1946. The Scholarship was established for outstanding students attending Dothan High School in honor of his wife. The first scholarship was awarded in May of 1993.

Greg Hendrix- El Camino walk 2026… I have not posted much in the last few days because there has been very little of interest. The last few days have all been through flat farmland which tries the soul and requires patience and perseverance Yesterday ended so well. I stayed in a converted Monastery which was amazing. I will attach a few pics which are all in the monastery. The evening was topped off by meeting a military couple who was stationed at Rucker and the wife worked in Flowers hospital. A small world indeed. Also sat with a large group for a while after dinner. The time was refreshing and life- giving. Reconnected with Jo and her brother in law who are walking the Camino together. A good evening indeed.
