If you haven't heard here is an Important update for Michigan communities: the state has withdrawn its plan to overhaul the mental health system after legal concerns were raised. This decision affects how care is coordinated locally and what comes next for providers, families, and consumers. Staying informed matters. 📘

The decision follows a judge’s order to block the state’s request for proposal. The state says its aim in seeking bidders was to introduce ‘consumer choice’ to the Medicaid-backed system.

As we wrap up the year, we want to thank every educator, coalition partner, parent, prevention specialist, and community advocate who makes this work possible. Your dedication strengthens families, uplifts communities, and supports a healthier Michigan for all of us.

We wish you a safe and happy holiday season, filled with peace, joy, and meaningful connection.
