🫶The 4th graders spent time giving back to the DODC this week!
🧹One component of Annie's Big Nature Lesson is a focus on stewardship. Dimondale 4th graders identified areas in and around the DODC that needed attention to make it more accessible and enjoyable. Then, they rolled up their sleeves and put in two solid afternoons of work by cutting back thorny vegetation, hauling logs to line the paths (shout-out to the volunteers who helped with the chainsaw work!), and cleaning up trash.

🎤*Tap tap* Mic check, 123- does this thing still work? 😃 Hello everyone, welcome back from this page's long hibernation! Now that construction of the new school is wrapping up, we are ready to start bringing this page back!

🐾🔍Did you know that each year, the 4th grade classes do a week-long nature study (Annie's Big Nature Lesson) and spend part of each day out in the DODC? An invaluable resource, right in the school's own backyard!

🪵With the DODC being mostly closed during construction the past couple of years, it has become overgrown and is in need of TLC to re-establish clear paths and bring it back to its full potential. Be on the lookout in the near future for opportunities to lend a hand and get this resource restored for all to enjoy!🤝
