What an incredible weekend at the Cow Chip Festival! 🐄💚

On behalf of the Dighton Lions Club, THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this year’s festival such a success. It truly takes a community, and we are so grateful for the support we received throughout the weekend.

We were incredibly grateful to have Lions from neighboring clubs come out and support us. Thank you to our friends from South Attleboro Village Lions, South Attleboro Lions Club, West Bridgewater Lions Club, The Taunton Lions Club, Somerset Lions Club, and Provincetown Lions Club. Multiple clubs came together to support this event, and that spirit of Lionism and service is what it’s all about! 🦁

Thank you to District Governor Steve Garran and Selectman Glen Cabbage for taking on the important (and fun!) role of judging our Cow Chip Contest! We appreciate your time and good humor.

A heartfelt thank you to the amazing Dighton Firefighters Local 4332 (Dighton Fire Department), who were present day and night to help keep everyone safe throughout the festival — and even fielded a softball team! We are also grateful to the members of the Berkley Fire Department and Freetown Fire Department for joining in the fun and playing as well. 🚒🥎

Most importantly, thank YOU to everyone who attended, volunteered, participated, sponsored, donated, and supported this three-day event.

As a reminder, the funds raised from the Cow Chip Festival go right back into our community through support for:
💚 The two Dighton food banks
💚 Dighton Rehoboth High School, Bristol Agricultural High School & Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School scholarships
💚 Building and supplying handicap ramps
💚 Security cameras, autism backpacks and defibrillators for the Dighton Police Department
💚 Holiday toy drive
💚 Annual Santa ride
💚 Building and maintaining the Bocce court
💚 Maintaining local playgrounds
💚 And so much more

Because of your support, we are able to continue serving our community and helping where it’s needed most.

The game is still on!! Unfortunately the Police had to step out of the game due to a few injuries to police officers. We are going to have a “guest team” in their place. Please wear blue to support the new team.
