The Dighton Parent Teacher Organization is a nonprofit, volunteer parent/teacher organization whose membership includes all parents, guardians and staff at the

Dighton Elementary and Dighton Middle Schools. The mission of the PTO is to strengthen, enhance and encourage the educational and social environment of both Dighton Elementary School (Grades Pre-K-4) and Dighton Middle School (Grades 5-8).

The goals of the PTO are to complement the school curriculum with additional opportunities for parents, guardians, teachers and students to learn, socialize, communicate and grow. The PTO provides financial assistance to teachers in their classroom settings, holds fundraisers for supplemental educational materials and experiences, and supports school and family social interaction.

The 8th Grade Boosterthon Color Run on Tuesday was the perfect way to celebrate an incredible group of students and cap off an unforgettable fundraising season!

Our DMS students, staff, and families showed up in a BIG way this year, absolutely blowing our fundraising goal out of the water by a landslide. The support from our school community was nothing short of amazing, and we couldn't be more proud of what we accomplished together.

A special shoutout goes to Mr. Kinney, who once again volunteered to get absolutely covered in color for the students! Year after year, he embraces the fun and helps make this event something our kids look forward to.

We were also honored to present our Community All-Star Award to Principal Cheryl Leandro. Mrs. Leandro's enthusiasm, encouragement, and unwavering support of the PTO, our school community, and most importantly our students, never go unnoticed. She is always willing to jump in, cheer on our efforts, and help make every event a success. We are incredibly grateful for everything she does for DMS.

Thank you to our students for bringing the energy, our families for their generosity, our volunteers for always being there, our staff for their support, and the Boosterthon team for helping create such a memorable experience.

Today was a reminder of what makes our school community so special. We are beyond proud of our DMS Lions and the entire Dighton-Rehoboth community for making this our most successful Boosterthon yet! As always, share your photos below!

What a perfect day to celebrate our amazing 4th graders! ☀️📘

With beautiful weather, plenty of sunshine, and lots of smiles, our students enjoyed a fun-filled Yearbook Day complete with ice cream, music, games, and of course, yearbook signing with friends. Watching them laugh, make memories, and celebrate another incredible school year was truly special.

What. A. Day. 💙💛💚

As we wrap up another incredible Fun Run & Color Run, the Dighton PTO would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make today such a memorable experience for our students.

First and foremost, a very special thank you to Melissa Babey for her tireless efforts year after year. Melissa pours her heart into making Boosterthon bigger and better every single time, and her dedication does not go unnoticed. Thank you for helping make this year's event the best one yet!

Thank you to the amazing Boosterthon team for bringing unmatched energy, enthusiasm, fun, and excitement to our schools. Your positivity is contagious, and our students look forward to this event all year long!

To every member of the Dighton Elementary School and Dighton Middle School —thank you for your flexibility, support, rescheduling, magic-making, and constant hype leading up to and throughout today's events. These experiences simply wouldn't be possible without your willingness to go above and beyond for our students.

A HUGE thank you to the Dighton Police Department for always helping keep our events safe while being such a positive and supportive presence for our children. We are incredibly grateful for your partnership and commitment to our community.

And to the Dighton Fire Department —thank you for showing up today with those amazing cooling station fans! They were absolute lifesavers and helped keep everyone comfortable while the fun continued.

An enormous thank you goes out to Mrs. Lima and Mrs. Leandro for climbing into the dunk tank over and over again as incentives for our top fundraising students. Your willingness to be great sports and create unforgettable memories for our kids is truly appreciated!

We would also be remiss if we didn't acknowledge Mr. G today. We were honored to present him with the Community All-Star Award in recognition of everything he does to support the PTO year-round. From attending our events, to greeting students with a smile, to building genuine connections with kids throughout the building, Mr. G consistently goes above and beyond to make our school community stronger. We are incredibly lucky to have him.

Congratulations as well to Ms. DeMatos, who was presented with the incredibly prestigious and well-deserved Falcon Cup by Superintendent Bill Runey ahead of the Color Run. What a special moment for our DMS students to witness someone whose compassion, positivity, and dedication to children were recognized in such a meaningful way.

And finally, thank YOU to all of our families. Thank you for showing up, volunteering, donating, cheering, supporting the PTO, supporting our schools, and most importantly, supporting our kids.

At the end of the day, that's what all of this is about—creating memories, building community, and giving our students experiences they'll never forget.

We are so grateful to be part of such an incredible town.
