What an incredible night with the Texas ###I chapter of the Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club .

With more than 400 attendees from across the nation gathered for their annual conference, Tim Miller had the honor of sharing the mission of Texas EquuSearch and our commitment to never leave a family alone while supporting law enforcement agencies in the search for missing loved ones.

Blue Knights President Roger “Crash” Byars then removed his hat and passed it through the crowd. Members from all over the country gave generously, and by the end of the night, the Blue Knights presented Texas EquuSearch with a $3,000 donation.

Tim received a standing ovation for 26 years of dedication to families and law enforcement. It was a powerful reminder that compassion, service, and brotherhood still run deep in this country.

“I have met many wonderful people in my years of searching for the missing. Tonight I get to look out and thank 400 of my friends. Let’s keep doing what we are doing.” — Tim Miller

Thank you to Roger “Crash” Byars and the Blue Knights for your incredible support, friendship, and belief in our mission. Thank you for being a part of the Texas EquuSearch family.

UPDATE: The body of 11-year-old Joshua Lahai has been recovered after a massive multi-day search at Surfside Beach.

Texas EquuSearch founder Tim Miller confirmed Joshua was found Tuesday around 1:30 p.m. near Oyster Street and Beach Drive along the coastline.

According to Surfside police, a fisherman in the water felt something brush against him and flagged down an officer nearby. That officer immediately jumped into the water and recovered Joshua’s body.

“My job was to get the body in, bring closure to the family,” the officer said.

Joshua disappeared Sunday evening while swimming offshore with another child. Authorities say a large wave pulled him underwater, and he never resurfaced.

Dozens of search crews from Texas EquuSearch, Surfside PD, Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S. Coast Guard spent more than two days searching by air, boat, drone, and shoreline.

Texas EquuSearch remains on the ground alongside multiple agencies searching the waters and shoreline.

“We just met with the family again and let them know that we’re not giving up,” said Tim Miller.

Please continue praying for Joshua’s family, the volunteers, and all first responders involved in the search.

Lost is not alone.

Memorial Day is more than a holiday. It is a reminder of sacrifice, courage, and the freedoms we continue to enjoy because of those who never made it home.
