We've got a good life up here in Dewey, Oklahoma. We're the home of Silver Screen cowboy - Tom Mix - and we're doing our derndest to keep that cowboy spirit alive!
Make plans to join us this year at the Dewey Western Heritage Roundup on Saturday, October 10th. We'll have events going all day long including the longhorn cattle drive through town - and we'll top it off with a Wild West Show that evening!

With the help of AI, we've been sprucing up some photos from back in the day, and it's amazing how much clearer the details become - like seeing the car that is actually being jumped in the black and white photo. It sure does look like a supercharged 1937 Cord 812 Phaeton convertible - like the one Tom Mix drove. Could it be possible in adding color, that AI should have made this one yellow instead of white??
While there's speculation as to whether or not Tom Mix was ever at one of the Roundups, this photo was taken in 1941, the year following Mix's tragic wreck that took his life and damaged his Cord, so it may be that they were honoring his legacy during that year's Roundup with a car much like his in the arena.?
We're all about honoring that legacy and keeping the spirit of Tom Mix and the Dewey Roundup alive every year at the Dewey Western Heritage Roundup - and this year we'll be doing it again on Saturday, October 10th!

It's always a fun time to be in Dewey, Oklahoma during the Dewey Western Heritage Roundup!!

Come join us on Saturday, October 10th for this year's festivities. We'll have western vendors, live entertainment, antique shopping, food, a longhorn cattle drive, free wagon rides, fun for the kids and an honest to goodness Wild West Show that evening!
