Kindness in action is stronger when we come together.

Every hand that shows up adds strength.
Every effort moves the mission forward.
Every moment of service creates real impact.

This is what it looks like when a community comes together with purpose. 💙

👉 Be part of kindness in action.
Volunteer with us and help turn many hands into one powerful mission.

You don't need special experience to make a difference.

You don't need to be a certain age. You don't need a particular background. You don't even need to know exactly where you fit in yet.

What matters is a willingness to help.

Lions Clubs bring together people from all walks of life—young adults, working professionals, retirees, students, families, and community leaders. Each person brings their own experiences, talents, and perspectives, and together we create meaningful change.

Whether you can volunteer once a month or every week, whether you're looking to serve, lead, learn, or connect, there's a place for you.

No matter your age.
No matter your experience.
There's a place for you.

🦁 Discover how you can make a difference.
🤝 Meet people who share your desire to serve.
💙 Join Lions and become part of something bigger.

🥪And that's a wrap - EVENT RECAP 🥪

Yesterday, we wrapped (well, "sandwiched") up our first full round of support with Loving Lunches by packing meals and kindness cards for the local unhoused community.

We packed on-site at AMA Academy of Performing Arts, as the Loving Lunches program is an in-house charity to AMA that makes 300+ lunches for delivery every week. Over one hundred thousand lunches have been made and shared with local folks in need since April of 2020!

Check out a few action shots and a few ways that YOU can also get involved in the next month below!

📅 Join our monthly meeting at the Des Plaines Public Library this Thursday, July 11th at 6:30pm in the first floor meeting room area

💬 Reach out to learn more, share an idea on how to make a difference in the community, or offer a skill you'd like to share

🇺🇸 Walk in the Des Plaines Independence Day Parade with us and help spread cheer on Saturday, July 4th starting at 10am (the parade kicks off around Center Street & Wicke Avenue)

The Des Plaines Lions Club is proud to support our neighbors.

Community organizations are mobilizing to provide financial aid, food, and trauma counseling to residents displaced by a massive explosion and fire that ravaged a 12-unit condominium building in Des Plaines early Wednesday.
