Please join us this Veteran's Day Weekend, Saturday, Nov. 7th at 3PM at Fireman's Field for a Flag Retirement Ceremony hosted by Denville Scout Troop 17, VFW Post 2519 and American Legion Post 390. Bring any American flags you wish to properly retire.

🏕️ What an incredible way to wrap up Summer Camp 2026! 🌲

Before we pack up, we have some major highlights to celebrate from our final days:

🌅 Leadership in Action: Our Scouts did a phenomenal job leading Morning Colors today. 🇺🇸

🏆 A Sweet Sweep: Huge congratulations to our crew for a double win in both the Scout and Leader Dessert Contests! 🎂🥇

🪵 A Huge Thank You to Our Leaders!

This amazing week wouldn't have been possible without the incredible leaders who volunteered their time to be at camp.

We are especially grateful to Mr. Burrell and Mr. Gabel, who spent the entire week at camp making sure our Scouts had the best experience possible! Thank you both for your outstanding dedication. 👏

Enjoy the rest of your break, and we’ll see you all when school starts back up!

⛺️ The final countdown is on! ⛺️

Troop 17 is officially awake and ready to tackle our last full day of camp! It’s been an incredible week of learning new skills, crushing merit badges, and making memories that will last a lifetime.

We’re planning to leave it all out there today - whether that’s on the trails, at the waterfront, or around the final campfire tonight. 🔥

Parents, we can't wait to tell you all about it when we get home, but for now, we're making every single second of today count!

🌲 Troop 17 has officially landed at Camp Somers! 🌲

We might have arrived a day late thanks to Mother Nature’s little storm delay, but these Scouts didn’t waste a single second catching up.

Not only is everyone unpacked and completely settled into camp, but the crew also immediately jumped into action to clear a massive downed tree that was blocking the camp road up to the ranges. Talk about practicing the Scout Motto right out of the gate! 🪓💪

The energy is high and we are ready for an incredible week ahead.

Huge thanks to the adults and Scouts who rolled up their sleeves to get the road open!

🌲 The countdown is ON! 🌲

There are only 17 days left until Troop 17 heads to Camp Somers for an incredible week! ⛺️

Our leaders felt like Site 13 needed a little upgrade around the campfire, so they rolled up their sleeves and built four brand-new, modern Leopold-style benches! 🔥🪓 Now we’ll have the perfect setup for evenings around the fire.

A huge, special shoutout and thank you to Mr. Rotolo for picking up all the materials and precutting everything to make this build possible. 🛠️👏

🌊 Troop 17 takes on the rapids! 🌊

Today, our Scouts conquered the whitewater on the Lehigh River! Check out this "before" photo of the crew looking dry, excited, and ready for adventure. 🛶💪

Troop 17 took tonight’s troop meeting to learn about canoes, paddles, and steering a canoe. We practiced rescues as well. It was a fun and educational night.
