We are still reeling from Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions Union Delegate Conference where we sat alongside our coalition partners as a key voice in shaping how we grow our power for Kaiser Permanente workers in Colorado and across the country.

We're taking every idea, every commitment, every spark of momentum from UDC and bringing it back to where change actually happens: our clinics and our frontline staff.

This is how movements grow. Connection becomes action, action becomes wins, and wins become the foundation for the next fight.

We're just getting started. πŸ”₯

πŸ”₯ DENVER IS READY πŸ”₯

Our President, Stephanie Felix-Sowy, joined Mayor Mike Johnston , Governor Jared Polis, Colorado Democratic Party chair Shad Murib, and DNC Chair, Ken Martin this week for a site visit as Denver makes its case to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention.

We are living through a coordinated attack on worker power. But in Denver, we know the answer is not fear or silence. The answer is to organize, fight, and win.

A Denver DNC would put working people at the center of the national conversation and show this country that worker power IS democracy in action.

DNC officials were in town for a site visit to evaluate Denver's bid, after it was named as a finalist alongside four other cities this year.

On International Workers' Day, we're standing in solidarity with working families in every corner of the globe. This union is a diverse one, made up of many languages and cultures, and from Denver to Addis Ababa, workers everywhere deserve to live fulfilling lives with dignity, security, and respect.

We are in an affordability crisis. Together, we face a common adversary: the billionaire class. They are not sitting back and passively watching this crisis unfold, they are actively building the systems that control our work, our communities, and our lives. We have a solution, though: organizing.

Unions are one of the few institutions in American life where working people have a real vote on the decisions that affect them. Not just during elections, but in their contracts, their leadership, and their conditions. That is exactly why the billionaire class wants us smaller. A workforce that can vote on its own terms is a workforce they cannot fully control.

United, we can push back on unsafe conditions, demand fair workloads, and have a say in how changes happen. We can support each other when outside pressure hits our workplaces. We can build a better world.

Stay organized. Stay connected. Don't let them make us small. Happy May Day.

🚨 Endorsement Alert: SEIU Colorado is excited to announce our latest endorsement, Manny Rutinel for US Congress District 8!

From caregivers and state employees to janitors and airport workers, our unions of over 35,000 working Coloradans are proud to stand with Manny, just as he's stood with us time and time again in the state legislature.

Whether it means showing up to a picket line or fighting to expand union rights across our state, Manny has been a staunch ally to working families and our communities. When it comes to building stronger unions and facing the affordability crisis head-on, we know we can count on him to be our champion in congress.

Together, we're ready to do what it takes to get him, and all of our other worker champions, across the finish line on election day.

🚨 After nearly a year of negotiations, security officers protecting our community in Denver’s City and County buildings have ratified a strong new union contract.

πŸ’Έ This victory delivers wage increases of at least 20%, protects seniority, and expands vacation time!

✊ Officers across the City stayed united, held the line, and won a contract that raises standards across the board. This is what collective power looks like!

πŸ“’ This weekend, healthcare workers showed up strong!

πŸ₯ Across hospitals, clinics, and home care, workers are standing united because we see the crisis every day. Staffing cuts, burnout, and patients waiting longer while corporations and billionaires rake in profits.

🚨 As Trump and his allies slash Medicaid and target our communities with ICE, we’re the ones seeing the harm up close. Families get separated, care is delayed, and workers are pushed past the limit.

πŸ’œ As the largest healthcare union in the state, SEIU Local 105 is bringing workers together to defend our patients and stand up for our communities. We know what’s broken because we live it every day.

πŸ’ͺ This system is built on profit over people and it’s backed by billionaires who think they can buy our healthcare and our futures. We’re organizing to take them on, win real worker power, and fight for the care our communities deserve.

March 31 is about solidarity, not silence. We stand with survivors of sexual assault because labor justice means protecting workers, especially those often ignored or targeted.
