Jinx was surrendered to Turning Tails Inc. as an English Shepherd, and this sweet boy has so much going for him. He's only 5-6 months old, housetrained, and he already has a great foundation with his basic obedience. He is eager to please. His biggest area for growth is simply building a little more confidence while walking on leash. With patience, encouragement, and someone willing to keep working with him, we think he’ll get there just fine.

Jinx is the kind of dog who could fit into so many different families. He’s just waiting for someone to give him the chance to become part of theirs. ❤️

This sweet baby was found in Oveido. Her nails are very overgrown, her ears are filthy (possibly infected), and we suspect a UTI. She will get the very best TLC while we complete the stray hold! Owner must provide valid proof of ownership.

Elowyn has been 🚨ADOPTED!!🚨

It’s hard to believe this is the same terrified, painfully thin puppy who came to us not knowing what it felt like to be safe.

Elowyn has come SO far. She’s gained weight, gained confidence, and finally gotten the chance to just be a puppy. 🥹 Now she’s ready for a family of her own.

Elowyn is believed to be a Great Dane mix and is around 6 months old. Despite the Dane in her, we don’t expect her to be huge! Based on her current size and the minimal growth plate we can see, we estimate she’ll likely top out around 60–70 lbs.

She’s sweet, affectionate, goofy, and has so much love to give. After everything she’s overcome, this girl deserves to finally know what it means to be HOME. ❤️

Elowyn has been 🚨ADOPTED!!🚨

Remember Elowyn? ❤️🐾

The terrified, painfully thin puppy who came to us at a body condition score of just 2/9? The little girl who had never been inside a home and was so afraid of the world that she simply froze?

Elowyn has come SO far, and we finally get to say the words we've been waiting for...

🏡 ELOWYN IS READY FOR ADOPTION! 🏡

She has learned that meals come every day, gentle hands don't hurt, and being inside a home means warmth, safety, and love. The scared little girl who barely moved is finally learning how to just be a puppy.

Elowyn is believed to be a Great Dane mix, though we don't expect her to be more than 70lbs full grown. She's sweet, affectionate, and absolutely loves being close to her people. ❤️

After everything she's been through, we're looking for a family who will give her the patience, security, and love she deserves while she continues to blossom.

We need to ask for help. ❤️

Turning Tails has been stretched pretty thin lately, and the truth is, the expenses just aren't slowing down.

Vet appointments, medications, vaccines, preventatives, food, litter, cleaning supplies, laundry, transportation... it adds up so much faster than most people realize. And when an animal comes through our door needing more than routine care, we don't want our first thought to be, "Can we afford to help them?"

We want it to be, "You're safe now. We'll figure out the rest."

But right now, we really do need some help figuring out the rest.

Every animal here still needs clean bedding, parasite prevention, medications, follow-up appointments, and all of the little everyday things that keep them healthy and comfortable while we work toward getting them into their forever homes.

Supplies are always incredibly appreciated, but our biggest need right now is financial donations. Vet bills, medications, and many of our day-to-day rescue expenses simply can't be covered with donated supplies. Even $5 or $10 gives us a little more breathing room and goes directly toward keeping this rescue going and these animals cared for.

If you can't donate, sharing this post genuinely helps too. Sometimes the person who can help us is just one share away.

We know everyone has their own bills, families, animals, and struggles. We never take a single donation for granted. This sweet soul is Elowyn.

When we picked her up (an 8hr roundtrip), she was nothing more than skin stretched over bones. She needed a name that spoke of strength, hope, and resilience—because she had none left of her own.

Elowyn is believed to be a Great Dane mix, only 5–6 months old. At a 2/9 body condition score, she is dangerously emaciated. Every rib, every vertebra, every bone is visible beneath her fragile skin. No puppy should ever look like this.
She had never stepped foot inside a home before coming here.

She was so terrified that she wouldn't—or perhaps couldn't—walk. When faced with fear, she didn't run. She didn't fight. She simply froze.

For days, she barely moved.
Then something incredible happened.
With full meals, gentle hands, soft words, and unconditional compassion, the frightened puppy hidden beneath the fear began to emerge. She cautiously sought affection. Then she climbed into my lap, desperate to be held—as if she had been waiting her entire life to know what love felt like.

Even now, eating is still a struggle. More often than not, she'd rather press herself against someone who makes her feel safe than fill her empty stomach.

No puppy should have to choose between love and food.

The hardest part is knowing she wasn't the only one. We found out after arriving home with this sweet girl that Elowyn has a sibling whose people did not show up for her; Who now desperately needs our help.

Elowyn and her sibling are not rare cases. We get requests like this ALL. THE. TIME. Elowyn is one of thousands. Thousands of dogs and puppies needing someone to stand up and give them a chance because they didn't ask to be here.

If you're able to help, your donation will go directly toward Elowyn's veterinary care, rehabilitation, and—if possible—the rescue of her sibling, which requires another 8-hour round trip.
