This weekend we had a few of our Delavan boys go to beginner freestyle Greco state this Saturday up in the Dells at the Woodside sports done! It’s was a great time and to see how much the kids have grown in freestyle from the last weekend to this weekend was amazing to see. Super proud of them going and giving it there best and trying the new style of wrestling and putting together the new moves they have learned over the Weeks!

1st Annual Delavan-Darien Youth Wrestling 4 Man Scramble Golf Outing. 18 holes with cart. $100 per golfer.
Aug 23 @ Prairie Woods Golf Course. 8 AM registration. 9 AM shot gun start. 🛺⛳️
Dinner and a drink included at Badger Bob's with 50/50 raffles and live auction to follow golf. 🍔🎟️

A DINNER ONLY option has been added to Zeffy. Come after and eat with your favorite golfers at Badger Bob's.

This past weekend we traveled to Madison for the WWF Folkstyle State Championship. Very proud how the wrestlers came out and battled and put their foot back on that line no matter the situation.

Friday

Logan Roherty💪 first time state qualifier went 1-2 on the day. Logan left it all on the mat and started Delavan strong with a win out of the gate. 🔥

Deydrian Brellenthin 💥Is a 2x state qualifier. Deydrian came out strong and lot more confident than the first year at state. It showed
finding 2 wins up there!! He went 2-2 on the day.

Deylen Brellenthin ⚔️is a 3x state qualifier. Had a first round bye then went 1-2 after. Deylen took a few tough losses but definitely will learn from that. He wrestled hard and took the losses and represented Delavan well.

James Turner 👊is a 3x state qualifier now. He wrestled really hard and never gave. James made his deepest run at state this year rallying 3 wins falling just short of placing. Ending the day 3-2

Saturday:
Tristan Holden 🦁 2x state qualifier is now also a 2x placer, both years back-to-back securing 🥉place. He took a tough loss early but burned the ship and moved on to rally back 4 wins in a row to place 3rd. going 5-1 on the day.

Wyatt Jacobs ends his youth career as a 4x state qualifier. Wyatt came out of the gate strong opening up his tournament with a first round win. Wyatt ended the day 1-2.

Sunday:
Azalea Welch 🤼‍♀️First year wrestler had a great performance. She went 0-2 on the day but the record doesn't define her. She was winning both matches, showed heart on the mat and never gave up. She is giving DD Girls wrestling someone to look up to.

Thank you to everyone that came out and support these wrestlers. It really means a lot to them. Especially those that stayed until the very end to support. Huge thanks to Coaches Jared, Max, David, Brady, Adam, Owen, Paul and Mariah for your dedication. It takes a village!
