How Permanent Supportive Housing Gave Katrina & Her Daughter a Second Chance 🏠❤️

When Katrina first arrived at The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia, she and her 22-year-old disabled daughter had spent seven grueling months living out of motels, parking lots, and a car without working brakes or power steering.

Through our Permanent Supportive Housing Program and dedicated case management, they finally found safety, stability, and a place to call home. To help them settle in, The Neighborhood Center assisted with move-in costs, utility deposits, and free Thrift Store vouchers to help furnish their new space.

Listen to Katrina share in her own words what this support meant when they had nowhere else to turn 👇

❤️ VOLUNTEERS WHO MAKE A DIFFERENCE ❤️

A huge thank you to Dale Potter and Dan Finlayson of Recovery Church, a ministry of First Church, for their incredible commitment to our neighbors in need.

When we were in search of a new volunteer group to help administer showers at The Bridge Shelter, Dale and Dan stepped up without hesitation. Not only have they served faithfully, but they have also inspired additional volunteers from the Recovery Church ministry to join our mission.

Because of dedicated volunteers like Dale and Dan, our neighbors experiencing homelessness receive compassionate care, dignity, and support every day.

Thank you, Dale and Dan, for all you do for The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia and The Bridge Shelter!
