Our hearts are so full! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we already have enough supplies to create 150 ornaments for this year’s Operation Ornament event! ❤️

Today, we celebrate a life that continues to inspire hope.

Ashlyn Bowman should be celebrating another birthday surrounded by family, friends, and dreams for the future. Instead, her life was stolen at just 17 years old by senseless drug violence—a tragedy that changed countless lives forever.

Seventeen.

A daughter.
A best friend.
A bright light whose kindness and laughter are still remembered every day.

Although Ashlyn never had the chance to grow older, her legacy lives on through the Ashlyn Bowman Foundation and every life touched because of her story.

In honor of Ashlyn’s birthday, we’re kicking off our Christmas in July Operation Ornament Supply Drive! 🎄💜

Operation Ornament is one of our favorite traditions. Throughout the year, we collect craft supplies and spend time with local children making handmade Christmas ornaments. Then, on Christmas Day, we personally deliver them to hospitals, fire stations, police departments, and other community heroes across Volusia County.

Last Christmas, we delivered over 350 handmade ornaments. This year, with your help, we’d love to reach even more people.

We’re looking for:
🎄 Volunteers who would like to help host ornament-making events with local kids.
🎄 Families who would like to make ornaments.

💌 What a beautiful night of creativity and connection! 💌

ABF’s Valentine’s Card Crafting event was filled with laughter, joy, and an incredible outpouring of creativity. The room was buzzing with bold designs, heartfelt messages, and nonstop smiles — every card created with love and intention.

These handmade Valentines will be delivered to residents of local assisted living facilities, reminding them they are seen, valued, and cared for this Valentine’s season. Knowing that something so simple can bring so much joy is what makes nights like this so special.

At the heart of ABF’s mission is providing kids with meaningful volunteer opportunities just like this — chances to serve, give back, and make a real difference in their community. We’re proud to offer free volunteer opportunities for all ages, and we’re always welcoming new official ABF volunteers who want to help spread kindness and connection.

💌 Valentine’s Card Crafting for Seniors 💌

Join us for a sweet and meaningful evening of creativity and kindness! We’re hosting a Valentine’s Card Crafting Night where kids, families, and friends of all ages can come together to make handmade Valentine’s cards for residents in local assisted living facilities. These cards will be delivered on Valentine’s Day to help spread love, joy, and connection to seniors in our community.

✨ This event is completely FREE to participate
✨ All ages are welcome
✨ Bring your own crafting supplies if you’d like
✨ We will have some supplies available
✨ Light snacks and drinks will be provided

We are also happily accepting donations of crafting supplies such as cardstock, markers, stickers, glitter, ribbon, glue, and anything fun or festive to help us make lots of beautiful cards 💝

Come create something special, make memories, and help brighten a senior’s Valentine’s Day. We would love to see you there!
