Florida Issues Emergency Rule on 7-OH Products.

On June 22, 2026, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier signed an emergency rule that immediately classifies concentrated 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) and related compounds as Schedule I controlled substances in Florida. State officials cited concerns related to addiction, overdose risk, and public safety.

7-OH products have often been marketed in convenience stores, v**e shops, and online. Community members are encouraged to stay informed and talk with family members, friends and loved ones about 7-OH products and the dangers associated with their use.

Today was a WIN for Walton County. 🙌

The Walton County Overdose Task Force and partnering agencies celebrated a meaningful milestone as the Walton County Board of County Commissioners officially proclaimed June 6 as Revive Day in Walton County.

This proclamation recognizes the importance of overdose prevention, recovery, education and the power of second chances. Every life saved is worth celebrating.

Thank you to our county commissioners, community partners, first responders, peers, advocates and all who serve boots on the ground to make a difference in our community.

Most importantly, it sends a message to anyone who may be struggling today: there is a Pathway Back. Back to healing. Back to connection. Back to stability. Back to a life you control.
