August is Overdose Awareness Month.

Overdose doesn’t discriminate. It reaches across families, neighborhoods and communities, often touching lives in ways others may never see.

This month is about remembering the lives we have lost. But it is also about the people who are still here. The person struggling. The family searching for answers. The friend who wants to help but doesn’t know where to begin.

Knowing where to turn can change everything.

That’s why throughout August, we’re pointing our community to The Pathway Back.

Whether you are looking for help for yourself or someone you love, The Pathway Back connects you to recovery support and resources when you need them.

Visit thepathwayback.com.

Florida Issues Emergency Rule on 7-OH Products.

On June 22, 2026, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier signed an emergency rule that immediately classifies concentrated 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) and related compounds as Schedule I controlled substances in Florida. State officials cited concerns related to addiction, overdose risk, and public safety.

7-OH products have often been marketed in convenience stores, v**e shops, and online. Community members are encouraged to stay informed and talk with family members, friends and loved ones about 7-OH products and the dangers associated with their use.
