Here are the turn-by-turn directions for the 15K course! Good luck everyone!
Start at the pavilion in Nelson Park.
Take the first left onto Nelson Park Blvd.
From Nelson Park Blvd, go straight toward the lake and take a right (west) onto the sidewalk along Lake Decatur.
Run west toward the Beach house. Once you pass the Beach House, leave the sidewalk and begin running through the parking lot toward S Lake Front road and travel north, on the road, of S Lake Front Rd.
At the intersection, turn right onto E Cantrell St, and travel on the road, east, towards the Devon Amphitheater.
Continue past the Devon, as the road then transition to a walking path.
Turn on the sidewalk that travels north, toward US-36.
Take a right, southeast, onto US-36. Run on US-36.
At the intersection of US-36 and N Country Club Rd, turn left.
Remain on N Country Club Rd until it transitions into N Fork Rd.
Travel east on N Fork Rd until you reach the intersection of N Fork Rd and N. Excelsior St. At this intersection, turn left.
Run north on N. Excelsior St. until the intersection of IL-105 and N. Excelsior. At this intersection, turn left onto IL-105. Runners will be on the southern lane of IL-105.
Turn left onto E Park Lane.
Continue southwest on E Park Lane as the road transitions into E Lake Shore Drive.
At the intersection of E Lake Shore Drive and N Lake Shore Drive, turn left.
Continue along N Lake Shore Drive until the road transitions into S Lake Shore Drive. Continue on S Lake Shore Drive until transitions into a sidewalk/walking path that passes underneath the US-36 bridge.
Continue on this sidewalk/walking path until you pass the Devon.
At the intersection of E Cantrell and Nelson Blvd, turn right onto Nelson Blvd.
Continue up Nelson Blvd until just before the intersection of Nelson Blvd and E Powers Blvd. There is a slight right onto the sidewalk. Run on the sidewalk.
Remain on the sidewalk until reaching the Splash Cove W Entrance. Take a right on this road toward the Splash Cove parking lot.
Continue straight toward the east end of the parking lot.
At the end of the parking lot, traveling east, there is a dirt path. Take a right onto the dirt and gravel path.
Running along the dirt path south, they will enter another parking lot. Turn right at the southern end of this small parking lot.
At the west end of the parking lot, turn left, going past the maintenance shop until they get to E Pavilion Dr.
Turn left onto E Pavilion Dr.
Travel on E Pavilion Dr, will then continue straight toward the pavilion parking lot, where the race started, and finish.
