After a great first night, we’re excited to do it again! Join us at the Makerspace for another cozy evening of sipping, stitching, creating, and connecting.

Whether you’re an experienced stitcher or just curious to try something new, bring your current project & drink of choice and get ready to be inspired!

Last month, we introduced board member Sam Johnson. This month, we’re shining the spotlight on our board vice president, Niamke Dozier.

Niamke brings his background in software engineering to the team and serves on both our Spaces Committee and Executive Committee. He is also the creator and leader of our Arduino Club, where he helps members explore electronics, coding, automation, and hands-on technology.

Thank you, Niamke, for bringing your knowledge, leadership, and creativity to the team!

Goodmorning makers! Things are really taking shape at Lady Bug Mountain! We’ve been working alongside the children’s learning garden in the Torrance Park neighborhood to help bring a new solar powered shed to the space.

The project has already reached an exciting milestone with the structure being Decatur’s first 3D printed building! With the walls in place, our team has been busy measuring, cutting, and installing the framing as we continue moving the build forward.

This project is coming together piece by piece, and we’re excited to be building a space that will support learning, creativity, and exploration for kids in our community!

Last weekends Tie Dye Makeshop brought a splash of color to the Makerspace! 🌈✨

Makers got creative, experimented with bold colors, and turned plain shirts into one of a kind masterpieces. We loved seeing everyone have fun and make something uniquely their own.
