Happy National Rescue Dog Day!!Trinket, Sir Bow Wow 2026 was adopted from Decatur Animal Shelter and is just one of many of our fabulous furry friends who found a great home!💜💚💛

Congratulations to our Carnegie Carnival royalty as they celebrate their graduation today from Decatur High School!
Emma Hensley McMasters, the 2026 Carnegie Carnival Princess, and Harris Penley, the 2025 Carnegie Carnival Prince, have been outstanding ambassadors for the arts and service in our community. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and grateful for the positive impact they have made.
We wish Emma and Harris all the best as they begin their next adventures!

Head on over to the Adoption Event this Friday, May 15th, 11–4:30 at Decatur Animal Services! Fees will be waived after an adoption application is approved. Special thanks to the hard work of our Carnegie Carnival canine candidates and the Carnegie Visual Arts Center for making this possible!
