With your purchases and donations we are able to feed, clothe, and provide shelter for thousands of people each year. The Downtown Rescue Mission is a nonprofit organization serving the homeless living throughout northern Alabama and southern Tennessee. For more than 30 years, we have saved numerous lives and have had a profound impact on thousands of others by providing Christ-filled, enriched and compassionate services to those in desperate need.

Employee Spotlight: Roy Lawrence🌟

This month, we want to introduce Roy Lawrence, one of our Dock Workers at our Decatur DRM Thrift store. Roy has been part of the team since January!

Roy’s determination stood out from the beginning. Before he was hired, he’d regularly stop by the store to check on his application. Since joining the team, he’s brought that same dedication to work every day.

Roy is loved by his coworkers, donors, and customers, and when we asked what he enjoys most about his job, he gave a simple answer: “Helping others.”

His faith and his love for others are a big part of who Roy is, and one Scripture he lives by is Exodus 20:16.

We’re so glad Roy is part of the Decatur team. Thank you, Roy, for all you do!
