Can people really change?

Evelyn Lemly has spent more than a decade leading Kairos, and her answer is a resounding yes. 🙌

In this conversation on the Correctional Ministries and Chaplains Association CMCA Podcast, Evelyn shares how God called her into prison ministry, why forgiveness and belonging are at the heart of transformation, and how volunteers often walk out changed as much as the people they came to serve.

If you’ve ever felt a nudge to get involved, this is your sign. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply show up. 💙

🙏 History was made at FCI Coleman Low! 🙏

From September 13–16, FCI Coleman Low became the first Federal Bureau of Prisons facility to host our program, which is now recognized as an approved First Step Act Productive Activity.

Over those four days, our trained volunteers sat with men inside the walls, listening, sharing and building the kind of relationships that support lasting change long after release. The Bureau of Prisons is calling it a milestone, and we’re calling it an answered prayer. 🕊️

Here’s how you can be part of what God is doing:

🙏 PRAY for the men who attended the weekend, for their families, for the chaplains and staff at Coleman, and for the doors this opens in federal prisons across the country.

🔁 SHARE this post so more people hear what happens when the church shows up behind the walls.

✝️ SERVE with us. More than 30,000 Kairos volunteers in the U.S. already serve this way, and as federal doors open, we need more hearts ready to go. If you’ve ever felt a nudge to serve, this could be your moment. Learn how to get involved: [VOLUNTEER LINK]

Congratulations to Randy and Lucy Dehn, named 2026 Volunteers of the Year at SCI Albion! 🎉 Week after week, they show up to listen, love, and share Christ with the men inside. Their faithfulness is a reminder of what one couple’s “yes” can do. Thank you, Randy and Lucy, and thank you to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections for honoring their service. 💙

🙏 PRAY WITH US THIS WEEKEND! 🙏

God is moving in a BIG way through Kairos! This weekend, we have THREE FIRST KAIROS WEEKENDS taking place, opening doors for the Gospel to reach new places and new hearts. 🙌❤️

We are asking our Kairos family to pray for every participant, volunteer, chaplain, and facility involved. Pray for open hearts, powerful conversations, healing, forgiveness, and for each person to experience the love of Christ in a life changing way.

Three first weekends. Three new beginnings. One faithful God. 🙏

God is good, and we are so grateful to be part of what He is doing!

📲 Please SHARE this post and help us surround these weekends with prayer. Every prayer makes a difference!

Please join us in prayer for these upcoming Kairos Weekends happening across the country and around the world. 🙏

Pray for every volunteer, participant, family member, and person being served. Pray that God prepares hearts, opens doors, and fills each weekend with His love, hope, healing, and grace.

Please pray for strength and protection over our volunteers, wisdom for our leaders, and for lives to be transformed through the power of the Kairos ministry.

Most importantly, pray that every person we encounter feels seen, loved, valued, and reminded that they are never forgotten.

Please keep these weekends and everyone involved in your prayers. ❤️🙏
