Dear Members of the West Volusia Regional Chamber of Commerce,

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closure of our organization. As the Executive Director and President, I have spent the past four years working with you all and it has been an honor and a privilege to serve in this role. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we could not obtain forgiveness for our PPP loan, and, due to a lack of financial income, along with our Board of Directors, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors.

Despite this news, we are pleased to announce that the Board has worked tirelessly to ensure that our members will continue to have a community in which to connect and thrive. We have agreed with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to welcome all our current members at no additional cost. They will take over the AM Connection that we have all come to know and love, starting on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, at Halifax Health Medical Center. They have also committed to continuing to honor our first responders Valor Awards, the Legislative Luncheon, and Hob Nob events.

We want to express our sincerest gratitude to all our members, partners, city, county and elected officials for your support and friendship over the years. It has been a pleasure to work with you and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

We are excited to share our recent experience at 101 Paws Claws Network at Night. As a USDA and FWC licensed 501c3 nonprofit sanctuary and educational facility located in Central Florida, their focus is on exotic pet rehomes, fur farm rescues, and educating the public about their impact on the wildlife around them. At 101 Paws and Claws, they do not breed, sell, or adopt any of their animals, instead providing a forever home to all animals that come to live with them.

Their mission of conservation through education and changing perspectives is admirable, and we highly recommend checking them out to see all the good they are doing. Whether you are interested in learning more about exotic pets, want to support their rescue efforts, or simply want to become more knowledgeable about wildlife conservation, 101 Paws and Claws is an excellent resource. We are grateful for the opportunity to have visited and support their mission.
