Day 3 at the REALTORS® Legislative Meetings 🇺🇸🏡

Today, DABOR’s delegation continued advocating for the real estate industry on Capitol Hill. Association Executive Chastity Townsend, 2026 President Jasmine, and President-Elect Eddie joined fellow Michigan REALTORS® in meetings with lawmakers, including Senator Elissa Slotkin, to discuss issues impacting homeowners, property rights, housing affordability, and the future of real estate.

These conversations are an important reminder that REALTOR® advocacy extends far beyond the transaction. We are proud to have DABOR represented in Washington, D.C., ensuring the voices of our members, clients, and communities are heard at the national level.

📣 Government Affairs Committee in Action!

The DABOR Government Affairs Committee met today to discuss key issues impacting our members and the communities we serve. One of our top priorities is addressing concerns surrounding municipal inspections — including inconsistent requirements, delays, and what many agents feel are excessive inspection fees.

We want to hear directly from YOU. Which cities are creating the biggest challenges during your transactions? Are there inspection policies, pricing structures, or processes that are making it harder to serve your clients?

Our goal is to gather feedback from REALTORS®, advocate on your behalf, and bring these concerns directly to city councils, mayors, and local decision-makers.
