🌊🐚 We're Just 3 Months Away! 🐚🌊

The countdown is on! In just three months, we'll gather for our 19th Annual AALIVE Fundraiser on Friday, November 6, 2026, and we need your help to make this year's event unforgettable!
One of the highlights of the evening is our raffle, and we're currently seeking donations from our amazing community. Whether you're a local business, artisan, or community member, we'd be so grateful for your support.
We're looking for items such as:

🎟️ Gift cards
🧺 Themed gift baskets
🍽️ Restaurant certificates
🎭 Event tickets or experiences
💆 Spa or salon services
🏡 Home décor, handmade items, and specialty gifts
🎉 Family-friendly activities and more!

Every raffle item helps support AALIVE's mission and continue providing meaningful programs and opportunities for the individuals and families we serve.

If you'd like to donate a raffle item or know a business that may be interested, please send us a message or email [email protected].

Our AALIVE family is mourning the loss of our dear friend and longtime Board Member, Matt Mingey.
For over 15 years, Matt quietly helped guide our organization with wisdom, integrity, and an unwavering belief in our mission. A financial professional by trade, he brought thoughtful leadership that helped bring AALIVE’s objectives into reality—including the launch of our Inside Voice spelling to communicate program, which has opened the door to communication for nonspeaking individuals and nurtured ongoing friendships among our Spellers and their families.
Matt never sought recognition. He simply showed up, listened, and offered the kind of guidance that made everyone around him feel more confident. His words were never many, but they were always impactful.
On a personal note, Matt was the person I (Colleen) called when the weight of leadership felt overwhelming—when I needed encouragement, or someone to talk me off the ledge. He had a remarkable gift for bringing calm to difficult moments and reminding me of the importance and need of AALIVE’s work. I will miss those conversations and cherish the gift of Matt’s outlook.
While we grieve this tremendous loss, we are also deeply grateful for the legacy Matt leaves behind. His fingerprints are all over AALIVE, and his influence will continue to live on through every individual and every family AALIVE supports, and every life we are privileged to touch.
Thank you, Matt, for believing in us, believing in our mission, and believing in all that was possible. You will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever a part of the AALIVE family.
Please keep Matt's wife, Sue, his two children, his siblings and all Matt’s loved ones and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Celebrate the life of Matthew Mingey and join others in sharing memories, stories, and condolences.

Autism is not one-size-fits-all.
It’s a spectrum—meaning every autistic person has their own strengths, challenges, and ways of experiencing the world.
Today, we listen, learn, and celebrate those differences.
