Crayons to Classrooms

Crayons to Classrooms C2C is a free Teacher Resource Center serving teachers and students from under-resourced K-12 schools in the Miami Valley.

In partnership with local businesses, individual donors, and community volunteers, C2C lifts at-risk children’s level and love of learning by collecting and distributing donated supplies and surplus products for use in the classroom. Teachers from eligible schools are invited to “shop” for what they need in our retail-style free store in Dayton, Ohio.

Every student deserves the opportunity to learn through hands-on STEM experiences. 🔬🧪

Thank you to CenterPoint Energy for investing in STEM education and helping students build curiosity, confidence, and problem-solving skills!

In a recent survey, 63% of local STEM teachers reported that limited access to supplies negatively affects their ability to provide hands-on learning. With CenterPoint Energy’s support, we can help close that gap by providing educators in under-resourced classrooms with the STEM materials they need to engage their students in meaningful, hands-on learning all year long.

Together, we’re making sure more students have the opportunity to explore, experiment, and discover what they’re capable of. 💡

🎉 We’re celebrating 10 years at our Woodman Drive location! 🎉

For the past decade, this storefront has been a place where teachers can access the school supplies they need to support their students. We’re incredibly grateful to our partners at Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley for helping make this space possible and for their continued support of our mission.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey over the past 10 years on Woodman Drive and in over 17 years of serving Miami Valley teachers. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together and look forward to all that’s ahead! 💙

Thank you to everyone who donated to our 7 Circles of Kindness School Supply Drive last week in partnership with WHIO, WHIO Radio, and K99.1FM! Because of the generosity of our Miami Valley community, we raised over $21,000 in school supplies and $2,600 in financial donations.

Each back-to-school season, this fundraiser helps us collect core school supplies so that our shelves can be full and ready to support local teachers when they return to shop. We are so grateful to everyone who helped us kick off the school year by making sure teachers have the supplies they need for their classrooms! 💙✏️📚
