Crayons to Classrooms

Crayons to Classrooms C2C is a free Teacher Resource Center serving teachers and students from under-resourced K-12 schools in the Miami Valley.

In partnership with local businesses, individual donors, and community volunteers, C2C lifts at-risk children’s level and love of learning by collecting and distributing donated supplies and surplus products for use in the classroom. Teachers from eligible schools are invited to “shop” for what they need in our retail-style free store in Dayton, Ohio.

A huge thank you to Colliers Columbus and Acorn Distributors, Inc. for volunteering with us earlier this month! 🎉

Please join us in congratulating Amber Bell, a 3rd grade teacher at International School at Residence Park, on receiving a FULL scholarship to pursue her master’s degree at American College of Education!

Amber will begin her Master’s in Elementary Education in August 2026.

Last month, we had the privilege of joining Crossroads Church Dayton for their GO Day.

Earlier this spring, we had the honor of attending the Fairmont Industries Recognition Banquet to celebrate the students in the Fairmont Industries and Adult Transition Program and recognize their growth, achievements, and volunteer service throughout the year.

Throughout the school year, these students play an important role in our mission by helping stock our shelves with school supplies and supporting our operations team each week.

We are so proud of all they have accomplished this year and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside them.

This week, we hosted 2 Make & Take Days at our store, where 71 Miami Valley teachers volunteered for one or two shifts to earn an extra shopping trip this fall! At the end of the day, they were also able to shop our Classroom Solutions section and take home some of the projects they made.

The teachers made thousands of products for our fall semester inventory!
