🐠 There's a Utica building housing the archer fish exhibit at LegaSea Aquarium & The Reptarium, a 30,000-square-foot indoor zoo on Van D**e where you don't just look at the animals.
You hold them, feed them, and sometimes get spat on by them.
It started as a small reptile zoo founded by YouTube wildlife star Brian Barczyk. After he passed in early 2024, his family finished building his dream: a full aquarium with sharks, stingrays, a two-headed turtle, 40 baby alligators you can hold, and a capybara named Javier.
The name says it all, by the way. LegaSea. His legacy.
If you or your kids love animals, this one's worth the drive.

Front to back, Joey 3 Megaesophogus, Maple, 3, Megaesophogus, Goose, 9 year old Newfie. Maple and Joey are putting on a couple of pounds finally. Maple weighed in at 32 # today. A 2 # gain. Goose is going back to her owner today. I took her in when her owner was going through some challeging times. I told her if and when she was ready, Goose could go back with her. Well she's ready and Goose will be returning home. I will miss her terribly but glad she gets to go.
