Hi Everyone,
Welcome to November! Monday Night Racing at MT Southington will begin before we know it. If you are new to MNR, you will need two items to participate, 1) CSC perm # and 2) a race bib.
For new racers: The two items you need are a 1) CSC perm # and 2) a race bib.
CSC Perm #:You get a CSC perm # by giving the following information to Rob Dexter at [email protected]:
Skier or boarder; Last name, first name, address: street, town state, zip, birthdate, m or f,
ski club: you must be a member of a CT ski club –
BIBS: Once you have a CSC perm #- a bib will be assigned to you. This can happen either at the pizza party [this year on Monday December 7,
2026 at Mount Southington] OR at the ticket window of the first race you attend [far right ticket window]. Note you MUST turn your race bib at the end of the season (or at your last race) or our club will be assessed a $50 fee.
The Monday night race series will run 8 weeks:
December 21, 28
January 4, 11, 18, 25ďż˝
February 1, 8, and 2 week makeups on February 15, 22.
TICKETS: Racing tickets are all on the Mount Southington Racing (Monday night) Web page. https://www.mountsouthington.com/programs/adult-race-leagues/
Tickets should be purchased no later than 2:00 on the day of the race- they must be purchased by that time or you will not be in the system to race. A Southington RFID card will be issued to you for the season.
Please make sure you enter both your bib number and your CSC perm # on the Southington ticket sign in. This information sets up the race for that night- if it is incorrect, results might not count, but at the very least they will definitely delay the race results.
RACING: Results is the best one run of 2 runs off the large wood start ramp. A racer must complete one run to earn points. BLUE Course skiers left are younger Men born 1960 and younger (turn 66 in 2026)
and all snowboarders: they will have Bibs 1-199. RED Course skiers right: (old) Men born in 1959 (turn 67 in 2026), and all women; they will have Bibs 200 -399.
Any woman racer older than 69 or men older than 73 may run first ontheir course (the oldest 2 age classes) Last year there were 10 men and 9 women.
A lottery number will be pulled for each week [at the Pizza night] and will be posted on CSC racing web page. That lottery number is the first racer down the course, Lottery number runs first, and continues in bib order and cycles around to the beginning. – the lottery number
changes each week.
