The Cub Scout Safari is an annual outdoor event hosted by the Connecticut Yankee Council at the John Sherman Hoyt Scout Reservation.

Cub Scout Pack 52 had a blast participating in activities that allowed them to earn Adventure Awards and concluded the day with a camp out!

Exit 2 weekend was a success!

Our scouts spent Saturday and Sunday providing coffee and treats to travelers.

Working in our community and connecting with people from near and far is always an exciting thing! We served a state trooper, met groups traveling home to Maine and New Hampshire, a couple traveling from Florida to see the Vermont foliage, and even got to pet an 8 week old puppy on her way to her new home!

So many visitors shared that they had once been a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, or Girl Scout. It was wonderful to connect with our brothers and sisters in scouting!

Highlight of the weekend was definitely our new exit 2 inflatable mascot who cheerfully invited travelers to visit our table!

Pack 52 was proud to be part of the Vinny Strong Family Event, coming together as a community to support Vinny and his family during his battle with cancer.

Our scouts hosted a Rain Gutter Regatta, where kids got to get creative, build their own boats, and race them down the gutters. A little friendly competition, lots of smiles, and most importantly, a chance to come together for a family who could use our support.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that shows up for one another. Sending lots of love and strength to Vinny and his family. ❤️

Back to Scouting! The 2026–27 year is officially underway starting with a fun Pack meeting and parent informational session.

We’re excited for another year of adventures, learning, service, and plenty of time outdoors.

Here’s to a great year ahead for Pack 52!

Pack 52 wrapped up the scouting year with a great end-of-year campout. Scouts celebrated by ranking up to their next levels, marking all the hard work and growth they’ve shown this year.

The weekend was filled with hiking, crafts, field games, and plenty of Gaga ball, along with songs and skits around the campfire. We also welcomed new committee members and recognized the parent volunteers who help make Pack 52 possible.

A big thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy this season. It’s been a year full of learning, adventure, and memories. We’re already looking forward to what’s next.

Proud of our Cub Scouts for rolling up their sleeves and helping clean up the Still River right here in Danbury. Every bag of trash collected is a step toward a cleaner, healthier community—and a powerful lesson in giving back.

From badges earned to memories made, today Pack 52 celebrated it all 💙💛

Our Blue & Gold ceremony honored the Arrow of Light den for their incredible years of growth, leadership, and adventure in Cub Scouts. So proud of every Scout for their hard work, teamwork, and spirit.

Many thanks to Miss Colleen who started her den with one lone wolf and helped it grow to an amazing group of seven scouts. Her dedication to our pack is unforgettable.

Here’s to the journeys ahead of them in scouting—new ranks, new goals, and more unforgettable moments together.
Once a Scout, always a Scout!
