Look at that little smile
😭💗 This sweet girl is looking for a home!

She’s estimated to be around 5 months old and appears to be a German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix. She is super playful, high energy, and LOVES other dogs! She would make a great buddy for another playful pup 🐶

Here’s what we know:
🐾 Dog friendly
🐾 No cats!
🐾 Almost fully potty trained
🐾 Working on the crate training
🐾 Not currently vaccinated

This is a courtesy post, meaning she is not currently in the care of The Rescue House. We’re simply helping her current caretaker find her the right home 💗

Chewy update 🐾😍

This 3 pound baby boy is doing great so far 🥹

Our little guy has a hole in his eyeball/pretty significant corneal ulcer, which can be caused by trauma or an untreated eye infection.

He was also riddled with parasites, dehydrated, and anemic. Thankfully, our amazing vet got him all fixed up with fluids, dewormer, Credelio Quattro, and some Critical Nutrition, and he got to come home yesterday afternoon

He was **SO wiggly** we could barely get a good picture, which we will take as a sign that he's feeling better! 🐾💗 The magic of a good nights rest and a full belly 🥰

We are still humbly asking for donations to cover his vet bill, as well as covering the cost of caring for our many other residents 🫶

Hi, our favorite people!!!! 💗 Sorry we’ve been a little MIA lately. We’ve spent the last week and a half resting, recharging, and catching our breath 😇

Lauren will be back from vacation very soon, but apparently being in another country isn’t enough to stop her from rescuing helpless dogs back home in Whitfield County 😳🤣

That’s right. Lauren sent out the bat signal from overseas, and of course… we responded 🦇🤣

A trap was set and everything! Here is a picture of the wee little lad himself, sitting inside the trap… that unfortunately decided not to actually trigger and close 🤦‍♀️🤣

Thankfully, one of our amazing fosters and volunteers, Kenna, showed up to save the day and managed to pluck this little guy out of the tall grass 😅
By that point, he was just too weak and exhausted to keep going on his own 🥲💗

THAT is what rescue is all about.
It isn’t one person. It takes people willing to answer the call, set the trap, crawl through the grass, transport, coordinate, provide medical care, and sometimes orchestrate the whole thing from another country 🤣😉

This rescue was made possible by Brandy, Kailey, Kenna, our wonderful Dr. Sean, and of course… Lauren 💗

Teamwork truly is what makes up The Rescue House, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Meet Biggie Smalls 🐾

17 years old… but let’s be real he’s more like 97 years old emotionally.

Retired from doing absolutely nothing.
Currently employed full-time as Supervisor of Household Activities Nobody Asked Him to Supervise.

Likes:
• Naps
• Dinner
• Second dinner
• Staring at you like you’ve disappointed the entire family bloodline
• Taking up furniture he does not pay for
• Going outside, then immediately wanting back inside
• Complaining to management
• Being tucked in like the delicate elderly gentleman he absolutely is not
• Cats — apparently they have earned his respect
• Dogs — depending on the dog, Biggie has earned the right to be selective

Dislikes:
• Change
• Nonsense
• Being told “no”
• Dinner being 11 seconds late
• Young people
• Probably taxes
• Your tone

Biggie comes with his own opinions, several unresolved grievances, and the confidence of a man who bought his house in 1973 for $14.

House trained-ish.
Management experience: extensive.
People skills: under investigation.
Retirement plan: your couch.
Adoption fee: one rotisserie chicken and a legally binding agreement to stay off his lawn.

At 17 years old, Biggie deserves a home where his biggest responsibilities are deciding which couch to nap on and making sure dinner arrives on schedule.
