✅SAR FRIDAY FUN FACT✅

Did you know…
K9 Search and Rescue dogs use their nostrils independently to sample scents from both right and left sides at the same time! They have up to 3000 olfactory receptors to help them track , separate and target microscopic molecules.
Trained K9’s will move from side to side on a trail, in the woods or on an urban street during a search to track a scent from an object and familiar scents all at the same time. WOW

Polk County Search and Rescue is heartbroken to share news of the loss of our beloved search K9 Jellybean. A 4 year old goldador, she had an extraordinary nose, the patience of a saint, and all she ever asked in return was a good belly rub.
