Excellence by Design Education Center is a partner with the Houston K-12 STEM Outreach" group. If you live in the Houston metroplex and are in grades 3-12, please consider this R-STEM academy workshop/

R-STEM Academy is a series of FREE one-day workshops for students in grades 3-12 (2025–2026 school year). Students participate in STEM lessons designed by experienced teachers and inspired by ongoing research at Rice University. The program provides hands-on activities that build conceptual understanding across STEM disciplines while strengthening critical and analytical thinking skills.

• Explore STEM career opportunities for students and educators
• Engage in hands-on STEM activities introducing cutting-edge scientific concepts

This year, we’re raising $5,000 to support our Opportunity Youth Program, which provides vital educational and career-readiness resources to young people who are disconnected from school and work.
