City of Dallas Neighbors... early voting starts today. Quick heads up before you go.
There are TWO Proposition A’s on the ballot this year. One is the City of Dallas public safety bond. The other is a Dallas County measure. They are separate questions. Read the ballot carefully.
This post is about the City one.
I own a small business here by Casa Linda. I don’t like debt. I don’t like higher taxes. I’m still voting yes on City Prop A.
Here’s why... the money is tied to public safety. A police academy and training complex. A crime lab. A fire station. A new home for 911 and 311. About $443 million, all spent on those specific purposes.
I wrote out the full case, including the property tax question, plus an honest look at the folks asking you to vote no.
