It’s hard to believe summer is almost over and school is less than a month away. The SPX Men’s Club has been asked to once again help with some projects around campus to prepare for the upcoming school year. If you’ve driven by campus recently I’m sure you’ve seen the new covers for our playgrounds!! We’re extremely excited for this wonderful upgrade to our campus.
The SPX Men’s Club has been asked to spread mulch throughout both playgrounds as well as repaint the fence around the upper playground (Pre-K & Kinder). If we have enough help, the fence around the entire field and larger playground too. With these, and other projects being completed on campus, SPX is looking to host DPL flag football games in the fall, so we want to have the field looking in top shape!
Fr. Zach is trying to assemble Jr. High kids for a few hours this week to earn some service hours as well, so they will get a jump start on this for us.
When: Saturday July 25th 8AM - 2PM (i hopeful with enough help we can be done before this!!)
Where: Meet at field
Supplies: Please bring gloves, shovels, and wheelbarrows or heavy duty wagons if you have them.
We will have water, gatorade, soda, and snacks on hand.
Volunteer Signup - https://m.signupgenius.com/ #!/showSignUp/70A0B4BA4AD2EABF94-64812801-playground?useFullSite=false
All are welcome to come and work! Bring your older kids (5th & up) they can earn service hours if they need them.
SPX families - this will count toward your required service time as well. We’ll have a sign in sheet to track who is there.
Please use the sign up link above so we can get an idea of how many people will be able to help.
