Welcome Home, Mr. B!
North Paulding High School is excited to welcome Mike Bearden back home to serve as the next Director of Bands.
Mr. Bearden previously served the North Paulding Band Program from 2012–2019, helping build a tradition of excellence, leadership, and pride throughout the program.
During his previous tenure at North Paulding, Mr. Bearden:
• Directed a marching band that grew to 200 members, along with multiple concert bands, jazz ensemble, and chamber ensembles
• Facilitated concert percussion ensembles, competitive indoor percussion, and winterguard
• Led the Wind Symphony to invitational performances at the GMEA In-Service Conference, Reinhardt University Honor Band, UGA JanFest, University of Alabama Honor Band Festival, and the Kennesaw State University Band Invitational
• Guided marching band and concert ensembles to consistent Superior ratings at adjudicated events
• Earned multiple Marching Band Grand Champion awards, including Old Southeastern, Heart of Georgia, White Columns, Creekview Classic, and Battle on the Border
• Helped North Paulding earn representation at GMEA All-State Band for the first time in school history in 2013
• Saw major growth in District Honor Band participation, All-State advancement, and regional honor band involvement
As Mr. Bearden returns to North Paulding, he brings with him a clear vision for the future of the program through The Pack Standard:
A blueprint for building a band program where every student matters, every expectation has purpose, and excellence becomes the culture.
Through Impact, Standards, and Culture, the North Paulding Band will strive to develop compassionate servant leaders, pursue excellence without compromise, and create an environment where every student feels part of something bigger than themselves.
Mr. Bearden and his family look forward to being a part of the North community once again.
The next chapter of Wolfpack Pride begins now.
