We were so honored to be part of the 5th annual Lace'm Up Shoe drive, an amazing initiative led by Ashley Rogers and Khyri Rogers. This initiative is so important to our community and the blessing to have watched this event get bigger and bigger from day one has been a tremendous blessing.

This year Ashley donated the remaining shoes to us to gift to Allatoona Elementary and we were so very grateful! Thank you so much Ashley, Khyri, the New Hope church family and Lacem Up for the important work you do in our community! We are already looking forward to next year and other opportunities throughout the year to partner and live on our kids year round!!

A huge thank you to our incredible community partner ONE Bartow for their generosity and support of our Wildcat families! 💙💛

Say it with me! “I am kind. I am strong. I will do great things.”

As an Emerson Elementary alum, having the opportunity to return and speak to students through the Encourage Kids to Greatness Program was truly a full-circle moment. 💙

I shared stories about my time at Emerson, from helping teachers and students as a teacher’s aide, to the lessons on kindness, encouragement, and leadership that shaped who I am today. I even shared how some of my closest friendships began during my years at Emerson and continue to this day.

The students were AMAZING, engaged, thoughtful, full of energy, and they even asked me to come back and be their teacher 😂❤️. Moments like this remind me just how important it is to pour into the next generation and help young people believe in themselves early.

I’m so grateful to Mr. Charles Phillips, Founder of the Encourage Kids to Greatness Program, and Jennifer Williams, Executive Director of United Way of Bartow County for the invitation and for the incredible work they are doing to encourage, uplift, and inspire students across our community.

The experience filled my heart in ways I can’t fully put into words.

Black Bartow Events welcomes Bento Soul as a featured vendor this Saturday, April 11, from 5pm–9pm in downtown Cartersville.

They’re bringing the comfort food favorites we all love, including Fried Catfish, Mac N Cheese, Collard Greens, Candied Yams, Soul Rolls, and refreshing Kool-Aid to wash it all down. If you’re craving real soul food, make sure Bento Soul is on your must-visit list for the evening.

Come hungry, bring your friends, and get ready for great food, music, and community vibes! 🎶✨
