Messengers to the upcoming Texas Baptists Annual Meeting in Waco, TX, on Nov. 15-17 will have the opportunity to vote on several items of business, including changes recommended by the Constitution and Bylaws Task Force and amended and approved by the Texas Baptists Executive Board at its September meeting.

Proposed changes to the Constitution and Bylaws, along with other business, have been posted one month before the Annual Meeting to provide time for messengers to review.

The generosity of Texas Baptists churches is bringing life change! 🙌

Wesley Brown, pastor of Cowboy Church of Collin County, participated in Pave in 2025, a Texas Baptists ministry that helps churches evaluate their church health. Through Pave, pastor Brown was challenged to do a sermon series on baptism to explore the "why" behind believer's baptism.

After doing this, the church saw a wave of individuals expressing their faith through baptism. In a church of about 250 congregants, over 30 people were baptized!

This kind of impact only happens through the generosity of local Texas Baptists churches who come together to make a difference right where they are. Thank you, churches, for your "yes" to being a part of what God is doing in Texas and beyond.

A group of 73 church planters and their spouses from Texas, New York, Washington and Wisconsin gathered on Sept. 27-29 at the Galveston Island Convention Center for a time of worship, fellowship, encouragement and rest.

Texas Baptists family — through your generosity, students are finding the financial assistance they need to pursue their studies for full-time vocational ministry!

Jacob Gonzalez, a junior at Howard Payne University, is a recipient of the Ministerial Financial Assistance scholarship that supports him in his calling to be better equipped for ministry. Thank you for supporting students like Jacob!

"My name is Jacob Gonzalez. I am a junior at Howard Payne University, majoring in practical theology with a minor in biblical languages. I chose Howard Payne because my sister came here before me, and I had friends and family who knew the school and its reputation. It was something I wanted to be a part of. My dad is a minister at a Texas Baptists church, so I receive some help because of his ministry, and I also receive help through the Ministerial Alliance. I knew I was called to missions; I just didn’t know whether that would be in the States or overseas. I got married last year, and my wife is called to missions as well. Together, we sense a calling to go to Eastern Europe and share the gospel once we finish our studies.

I want to thank Texas Baptists for my scholarship and for the ability it gives me to add to my tool belt here at Howard Payne. Thanks to their generosity, I don’t have to worry about the financial burden. I can simply focus on my studies and continue in my pursuit of God’s Word and God’s truth—and in sharing that truth with others."

More than 800 children, youth, college ministers and pastors from across Texas and beyond gathered in Bryan, Texas, October 5-6, to attend Conclave NextGen for a time of worship, breakout sessions, training, networking and learning how to invest in and win the next generation for Christ.

Texas Baptists churches — through your gifts to the Texas Baptists Cooperative Program, we are seeing God do some incredible things in Texas and beyond.

Mike Vasquez, senior pastor at FBCHondo, joined a Pave cohort, implemented the baptism plan and immediately saw growth in discipleship in his church. Since implementing the Pave manual practices, they have had four baptisms, with others also interested and a men's discipleship group has been created!
