Thank you to everyone who donated, shopped, and helped make our Fall/Winter Gear Swap a success! 🍂🧤 We loved seeing so much great gear passed along to families who can use it.

We only had a handful of items left at the end of the swap, and those will be donated to the The Storehouse so they can continue helping local families.

And finally, congratulations to Kristy Gonyer, the winner of our South Dakota Outdoor Shop gift card giveaway! 🎉

Thank you for helping us give good kids’ gear a second life and supporting our community. 💛

Big ideas start with little pieces! 🧱✨

Building with LEGO® gives children the chance to experiment, solve problems, think creatively, and bring their imaginations to life. Every piece is an opportunity to try something new, work through a challenge, and turn an idea into something real!

🌱 Come grow with us! Enrollment is open at Growing Roots in Custer. We welcome children ages 2.5–6 who are potty trained, with flexible scheduling options available.

🦖 A little mud, a shovel, and some dinosaurs… and suddenly, a whole prehistoric world comes to life!

Our students love using their imaginations in the outdoor classroom, mixing dirt and water to create muddy adventures for their dinosaur friends. With a faucet nearby and plenty of room to play, the possibilities are endless!

At Growing Roots, we love seeing where a little imagination and hands-on play can take us. 🌱🤎

Big to small! 🌱

This student is working with Montessori cylinders, carefully stacking each piece in order from largest to smallest.

What looks like a simple stacking activity is actually giving children opportunities to practice visual discrimination, fine motor coordination, concentration, problem-solving, and sequencing while working independently.

We love watching children discover that they can slow down, observe, make adjustments, and figure things out for themselves.

At Growing Roots, our Montessori-inspired environment is filled with hands-on materials that encourage children to learn through doing. 🤎

🐷 We had some very special visitors in the classroom today… piglets!

Our students got an up-close look at these adorable little animals, sparking curiosity, excitement, and plenty of opportunities to learn through real-life experiences. There’s something special about bringing the world around us into the classroom! 🌱

At Growing Roots, we love creating meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that encourage children to observe, ask questions, and explore.

A little extra joy (and a lot of cuteness) at Growing Roots today! 🤎🐽
